Vending Machine Conflicts

By this time, we all know that vending machines have been in existence even during 215 BC. During that period, these machines were capable of vending only one product at a time. However the significant evolution of these machines in the last 20 yrs has made our lives more convenient and also increased the scope for technological advancements. Modern machines are capable of offering up to 50 selections in one machine, thus providing customer with a wide range of choice.

In the earlier days, these machines were used as a medium of trade between different countries and regions. Once people realised the monetary benefits of using these machines, they started using these machines as a tool for economic growth. The last few years has witnessed enormous change in vending machines and products. With changing times, these products and machines have become more advanced and sophisticated.

The major conflict related to vending is whether or not to place these machines in schools. Schools have been the most preferred locations for setting up vending machines. However, with growing fear of obesity among children, parents and managements have imposed strict restrictions on the kind of products to be vended in schools. In order to inculcate healthy eating habits among children, junk and high calorie foods are being replaced by fresh juices and low fat snacks.

It has now been made imperative that only healthy products should be dispensed through vending machines in schools. Some states have gone to the extent of banning vending machines that vend junk food in schools while others are still pondering over the issue. So all you vending operators out there make sure you understand the policies of the state in which you are operating. Try to vend healthy products in your machines. This will not only help you in earning huge revenue but also provide customer satisfaction.
